T'fillah Planning Sheets

PrintE-mail

There are many types of Shabbat Shacharit service which one can plan using this Siddur. There are also many ways in which a person will go about preparing the service. These will be influenced by different requirements from the synagogue or the specific type of service which is being prepared.

We are therefore including a number of T’fillah Planning Sheets, so that you can choose one which is most appropriate for you, or adapt the one to suit your service and/or community.

General Information for a Shabbat Morning Service

This sheet can be used as a general sheet which accompanies all of the specific T’fillah Planning Sheets which follow. It can be filled in by the prayer leader, and distributed to the other people who are involved in the service.

Radlett and Bushey Reform Synagogue Shabbat Morning Service

This sheet has been prepared by Rabbi  Paul Freedman for use at RBRS according to their minhag (custom). In the tick column, prayers which are always recited are enclosed by solid lines (above and below). Where there is a choice, there are dashed lines separating them.

A General T’fillah Planning Sheet for a Shabbat Morning Service

This sheet contains a general outline of a service. The prayers which are expected to be recited every Shabbat are highlighted and marked. On the sheet there is space for the prayer leader to make notes for him or herself and the community to include its recommendations.

An Abridged T’fillah Planning Sheet for a Shabbat Morning Service

This sheet only contains the prayers which are recited by the community on a weekly basis, but it leaves space to include the extra prayers, songs and readings which the prayer leader chooses to include.

A Very Abridged T’fillah Planning Sheet for a Shabbat Morning Service

This sheet only contains the sections of the service, with no specific prayers included. This may be a useful sheet for a creative service, where the prayer leader is bringing sources from all over the prayerbook, and does not want to be bound by a planning sheet which includes a lot of specific pages which will not be used.
